Incredible Events

Dear Friend,

I am honored and humbled to share with you several significant events that have happened lately at Stanton SoCal.

You can read our more formal news release here (sent to local newspapers and other media), but here is my quick synopsis of recent events:

In early April, God moved on the heart of a local supporter to donate towards our exterior wrap for the Stanton Mobile.  This generous person responded with a check for $5,000 - the full cost of our beautiful new wrap!

While we are unable to honor this person by name (they requested to remain anonymous), I want to publicly acknowledge this incredible gift and thank our donor for their faith in the vision of Stanton SoCal.

The wrapped Mobile is now ready and waiting for a new ultrasound machine, fundraising for which is currently taking place through the Knights of Columbus (Assembly #2664 in Hesperia). Thank you, Knights!

Another wonderful donation was made in April: the Hillside Church Women's Bible Study sponsored Stanton Mobile as their spring community service project, and together the women raised a staggering total of $4,652!

I am blessed by this incredible gift not only because of the amount, but because I know many women who are members of other churches also attend the Hillside Bible study; these women truly are representative of "our community", and I am so grateful to have the women of the Tri-Community standing with Stanton.

Also during April, my team and I were busy recruiting and training our first team of volunteers to serve in the Mobile. Our RNs continued their ultrasound training in preparation for the new machine and all our volunteers attended the required Pro-Life 101 training session.

Next week, we will hold our training sessions for Client Advocates (options counselors in the Mobile), Post-Abortion Program facilitators, mentors, and other volunteers who will serve our clients. I can speak for the Stanton Mobile team (Anjie, Andrea and Patti) when I say we have been so encouraged by the energy and enthusiasm of our new Stanton volunteers! They are ready and willing to use their talents and skills to serve.

We continue to receive many handcrafted baby blankets, sweet crocheted newborn hats, and other items that will bless our future clients. We are seeking specific donations at this time as we prepare for the Mobile launch. If you have new or gently used baby and maternity items that are not on the Mobile needs list, we will use them in the Stanton Mountain PRC.

I could continue on with stories of how God is moving within our community, but we have limited space here! If you see me around town, please just ask - I will be happy to share more about this exciting phase of the Mobile project.

I am also eager to share how you can partner with Stanton to launch the Mobile full-time, so please contact me directly if you have any questions about our needs. I am available by phone or email, and would love to hear from you.

Together we will impact our community for good, one life at a time!

For Life,

Danielle Versluys
