Mother's Day at Apple Valley First

Mother's Day is filled with a mixture of emotions for many. We celebrate the women who gave birth to us, raised us, guide us, and love us! However for many, like me, that has been a shared effort. I’ve been blessed to have amazing women pour into me to the best of their ability, especially my mom and step-mom. 

Mother’s Day is also a wonderful opportunity for Stanton’s ministry to shine. Because our calling is to love and support mothers even before their babies are born, Stanton Healthcare celebrates the beauty of motherhood from the earliest moments of pregnancy.

On Mother’s Day of this year, Stanton SoCal was invited to visit Apple Valley First and share about our life-saving, Christ-centered ministry to abortion-vulnerable women throughout the High Desert.

Pastor Ed Carlson and his wife Jenn welcomed us with open arms as did the congregation. Pastor Ed shared a powerful message of Moses, and the love a mother had for her son as she sent him in a basket down the river, only for him to encounter the love of another woman who raised him. God blessed our Stanton team that day as we heard of the strength it took to take a countercultural stand and choose life for a baby, because that is exactly what we see every day in our brave clients. 

Visiting our church partners is always a treat, because it gives me a chance to thank our sisters and brothers for their faithful prayers and support of Stanton. But this particular visit, on a beautiful Mother’s Day, was an amazing reminder of how the Lord can work through all of us to save the most vulnerable, one life at a time.

I’m grateful to Pastor Ed and the AV First church family, because they have chosen to be countercultural and support the mission of Stanton SoCal. We still need increased monthly donors and additional church partners, and each church like AV First that comes alongside Stanton SoCal is one more building block in our effort to Create a Community of Hope!
