In Season and Out
Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season.
2 Timothy 4:2
With the confirmation of Neil Gorsuch, and now the nomination Brett Kavanaugh, there is a new energy of hope pervasive in the Pro-Life movement.
While we are very excited to see the Supreme Court adding pro-life justices, this is not where our hope lies. Our trust is in God alone (Psalms 62) and it is because of Him that we stand for women and their unborn babies. The Stanton mission is, and will always be, to replace abortion businesses because we believe that women and their families are entitled to quality, coercion-free care and compassionate alternatives to abortion.
There is much discussion of whether Roe will be overturned with the configuration of the Supreme Court. Regardless of the outcome of confirmation hearings, or any challenge to Roe, Stanton So Cal, will still be working to reach abortion vulnerable women, and lead them to abortion alternatives with love and compassion.
When Jesus came upon the fig tree in Mark 11:12-25, he saw that it had no fruit. Even though it was not the season for fruit, he cursed it. They came back to the tree later, to find it withered and dead.
Since 2006, the Stanton Project has been planning and working toward Replacing Planned Parenthood. If Roe is overturned, we will keep doing this work. If Planned Parenthood is defunded, we will keep doing this work.
There may come a season, when Roe is overturned and abortion is no longer rampant in our land. That day has not arrived. Until then, and even after that, Stanton is and will be, bearing fruit, in season and out of season. We rise up to meet the needs of women and their unborn children. It is what God called us to do, and we keep doing it!
