News Release: Nearly $10,000 donated to Stanton Mobile
The Stanton Mobile Clinic project has been underway for several years, garnering local and national support. This innovative mobile medical clinic will serve clients in the Tri-Community and the larger Victor Valley, offering pregnancy tests, limited obstetric ultrasounds, options counseling, community support programs, and local resource referrals. All services will be provided at no cost to all clients by a highly qualified volunteer staff of nurses, therapists and other health care professionals.
Stanton Mobile is a project of Stanton Healthcare of Southern California (Stanton SoCal), an affiliate of Stanton Healthcare International. Stanton SoCal is a non-profit organization dedicated to serving women and their families in the mountains and high desert communities, placing an emphasis on confidential, compassionate care in a professional setting that promotes the physical, emotional and spiritual well-being of clients.
In April, Stanton SoCal received two significant donations to the Stanton Mobile project. First, an anonymous donor from the Tri-Community provided $5,000 to fully fund the purchase and installation of an exterior wrap on the mobile unit. Soon after, the Hillside Community Church Women's Ministry held a large auction during the spring Bible study to benefit Stanton SoCal and raised $4,652.
The Stanton Mobile will be introduced to the community at several events in 2014, culminating in a grand opening in late 2014 or early 2015, following medical licensure. The first available public event at which community members are invited to view, tour and learn more about the Stanton Mobile will be Mountaineer Days in Wrightwood, July 5-6, 2014.
Danielle Versluys, Director of Stanton SoCal states, "On behalf of the Stanton SoCal Board of Directors, I want to express our thanks to the women of the Hillside Church Bible Study for standing with Stanton as we endeavor to launch our life-affirming mobile medical clinic. The Stanton Mobile will be a tremendous resource to our community and beyond, and everyone who contributed through the Bible study fundraiser is now a partner with us in our endeavor to bring no cost care to women in the Tri-Community. While our anonymous donor cannot be publicly recognized, we are thankful to this generous person for their confidence in the Stanton mission and their visionary giving that fully funded our beautiful new Mobile wrap."
