A Mother Supported!
Earlier this week, I spent over an hour walking through thorny questions of relationship struggles, pregnancy risks, parenting, financial management, and so many other aspects of life with a vulnerable mother at the Stanton SoCal office in Victorville.
This mom came to us after calling Planned Parenthood. She didn't think she had any other choice but abortion, based on her circumstances.
What this beautiful soul didn't realize until she walked into our office: her circumstances are transitory, and Stanton SoCal's team is here to support her through the struggles with care and compassion. The precious life of her sweet baby girl is eternal, and Stanton's team is here to help her protect and nurture her little one to birth and beyond.
Along with our sonographer Jo and nurse Barbara, I was privileged to see the Holy Spirit in action in our client's heart. Mere words fall short when telling of such a transformation in her spirit - from defeat and despair to determination and delight. With tears falling from my eyes, I was blessed to pray with this brave mother who was choosing the difficult, but oh-so-right, choice of letting her baby live.
To walk with hope from the grasp of death towards the light of life - this is the story of so many Stanton Healthcare clients. Often, it looks like more of a stumble as they begin the journey, because these mamas are not accustomed to anyone cheering them on or walking beside them.
It is our honor at Stanton SoCal to cheer and support and walk with our clients, and I thank the Lord for the gift of this dear mama and baby.
Please pray with me for Mama "Angela" and her little one as we walk towards baby's birthday later this year, and please, today, find a way that you can fulfill the responsibility we all have to "rescue those unjustly sentenced to death".
