Stanton Doesn’t Stop at the County Line

We had a call last week from a young lady who lives north of Sacramento. How she found our number and why she called us instead of a local pregnancy center, we will likely never know.

What we do know is simple: this distraught girl was faced with the greatest crisis of her life up to that point (a positive pregnancy test), and the Stanton team did not rest until she found local, life-affirming support.

She didn’t know where to go for help, and thought she needed an abortion. It was clear she really needed to stop, take a breath, have a medical assessment, and receive education and resources. Most of all, she needed love and encouragement.

We called around until we connected with a local pregnancy medical clinic that could see her. The director of the clinic said they normally weren’t open that day, but by the grace of God their medical personnel were in the office for special training and could see this client immediately.

She didn’t have a ride, so Stanton checked Uber and Lyft and we made sure she got safely to the clinic. Yet another precious mama and baby were provided with quality, compassionate care - from across the Golden State!

We are so thankful that our Stanton team didn’t waver once throughout this unusual morning - our calling is to serve women in crisis and provide a steady rock in the storm, and we will be there no matter the obstacles!
