The Stanton Mobile has Launched!
Dear Friends,
It is my great pleasure to announce that the Stanton Mobile clinic is now operational! Thanks to your many prayers, faithful gifts from our donors, and the hard work of our new Director of Operations, Jayne White, the Stanton Mobile launched in November.
For the months of November and December, the plan has been to operate on a limited basis while details of day-to-day operations are ironed out. And there have been quite a few little details to work through! Thanks to Jayne and our staff sonographer Jo, the clinic is weekly evolving into an efficient and professional unit.
Already, Stanton has provided a number of pregnancy tests and ultrasounds to women in Victorville, as the Mobile was parked just in front of Planned Parenthood. Planned Parenthood offers the abortion pill (a first trimester “medical abortion”), and it was our great honor to park the Mobile in the path of several pregnant women who were planning to seek “care” at the abortion business.
The Stanton team has always envisioned the Stanton Mobile as a dual-purpose clinic.
The first, primary purpose of the Mobile is to provide immediate and critical care to abortion-vulnerable women who may otherwise walk into Planned Parenthood (and walk out without their baby). This program offers free pregnancy tests and ultrasounds with love and compassionate care, investing in the lives and hearts of women in the High Desert.
The second aspect of our Mobile project provides support to local pregnancy resource centers that are unable to “go medical” (with medical staff and ultrasound technology), providing ultrasounds on a regular basis to new and current clients of the centers. This is a wonderful way for the local centers to offer expanded medical services to clients, encouraging early prenatal care among the underserved population and affirming the miracle of fetal development through ultrasound.
The Mobile has already visited Rose of Sharon in Victorville and Call for Life in Hesperia, blessing their existing clients with free ultrasounds and offering medical care to walk-ins. We are looking forward to the new year when the Mobile will be at these and other pregnancy centers on a regular weekly schedule.
When Jayne and Jo returned from their first shift in front of Planned Parenthood, I asked them to describe the response to the Stanton Mobile by new clients. “They just kept thanking us and saying how beautiful it all was,” said Jayne. Both staffers agreed that the location in front of the abortion business should be the front line in our effort to serve abortion-vulnerable women and their babies.
So, the Stanton Mobile will be there. A beacon of hope and light to women facing their darkest days, providing the comfort and care that every woman deserves during pregnancy.
Someday, I hope and pray we have the financial and personnel resources to maintain a presence at Planned Parenthood 6 days a week until that despicable business closes its doors. Please join me in that prayer.
It has been a long road to this day. I am humbled by the way God has used many people to bring the Stanton Mobile vision to fruition, and I am grateful beyond measure for His provision in every area. If you are reading this and have contributed in any way (prayerfully, financially, etc.) to the Stanton Mobile project, please accept my most sincere thanks on behalf of the women and children whose lives will be forever changed.
During this Advent season, please continue to keep Stanton Healthcare in your prayers. Our task has just begun. Your prayers and support are still needed and even more crucial as we approach 2017!
Many blessings on you and yours this Christmas.
For Life,
Danielle Versluys

P.S. End of year tax-deductible donations are very welcome, and especially needed this month as we prepare to expand our operating hours in January. Every gift counts. Thank you!
