Sanctity of Human Life Sunday

January 13, 1984 was the First National Sanctity of Human Life Day.

President Ronald Reagan designated this date to coincide with the 11th anniversary of Roe vs. Wade. The Supreme Court case that first recognized the constitutionally protected status of abortion in the United States.

President Reagan designated Sanctity of Human Life Day to be the 3rd Sunday in January while, he remained in office.  Dependent on the President in office the observance is nationally recognized.

The Stanton Mountain Pregnancy Center wanted to raise the level of awareness in our mountain communities and we have begun to do this through our local churches.

January 19 is the 3rd Sunday of the month and we were able to make a short video for churches to play to recognize Sanctity of Life Sunday.  If your church did not receive a video we have DVD's available for free to give to you or your church, bible studies or care groups.

If you missed out on Sanctity of Life Sunday do not feel like you have missed! Fell free to request a free copy of the DVD today and you can continue to raise awareness of abortion throughout the year!
